Help build the Bog Boardwalk Wheelchair Turnabout
We are building a platform at the end of Acton Arboretum's new bog boardwalk. This is to allow wheelchairs to turn around after they have enjoyed the full length of the bog crossing. Please help us break ground on this project by digging post holes to hold up the platform. I will provide tools. Participants need to bring work gloves, insect repellent, and expect to get muddy. Hack that Knotweed!
Release you inner assassin! Help us destroy the Japanese Knotweed growing at the Acton Canoe Launch. This is a rare weekday evening work party: meet at 6PM Thursday August 17. Knotweed is too hard to kill, so our control plan is: Chop it to the ground several times a year, and encourage other native plants so they will shade it out. Task: assembling pre-built wooden boardwalks along trail.
